WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Data Centre Infrastructure engineer, you will be responsible for the physical deployment and maintenance of critical IT hardware and cabling systems. Your key tasks include: Installing, cabling, and powering servers, storage, and network equipment. Building and maintaining cold/hot aisle containment to optimize airflow and efficiency. Eecuting structured copper and fiber optic cabling, including testing and labelling. Performing advanced fiber optic procedures such as fusion splicing and OTDR analysis. Installing cable tray systems and managing physical infrastructure scalability. Configuring server management interfaces (e.g., iLO, iDRAC) per instructions. Troubleshooting Layer 1/2 connectivity issues and resolving hardware faults. Using DCIM and ticketing systems for asset tracking and incident management. Documenting cable routes, asset data, and changes.
