Description

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Basic Qualifications
BS in Computer Science or equivalent training or work experience.
7+ years of experience building large-scale distributed backend systems, primarily using Java
Experience operating on production systems
Experience with DevOps practices and comfortability operating your own systems.
Preferred Qualifications
8+ years relevant work experience in data processing technologies such as Kafka and / or Spark.
Proficiency in Java 8+, familiar with the development environments.
Experience driving technical designs for complex backend systems.
Proficiency in Kubernetes, gRPC, cloud native development on AWS & GCP.
Experience with 1 or more distributed databases, preferably Cassandra or Redis. Experience with Trino is a plus.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written along with ability to work well in a team.
Ability to debug and resolve complex production issues with attention to detail
