Job Summary:

This role is ideal for an engineer who is passionate about solving complex problems, delivering impact, and leading by example. Beyond your technical skills, you’ll bring ownership and leadership, making thoughtful technical decisions, and mentoring others on the team.
Reporting directly to Sr. Engineering Manager, you’ll work with product managers, designers, and other engineers across the company. Together, you’ll develop scalable, reliable systems and features that directly improve our members’ healthcare experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development
• Strong expertise in at least one modern backend language (e.g., Golang, Python, Java, or Ruby).
• Experience designing and building APIs and distributed systems from the ground up.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB).
• Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures.
• Balance technical tradeoffs and product impact.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams.
  Pay:
  The United States new hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are:
  Zone A: $138,380 - $195,470 + equity + benefits
  Zone B: $159,137 - $224,791 + equity + benefits
  Zone C: $172,975 - $244,338 + equity + benefits
  This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for candidates based on their respective Zone. Below is additional information on Included Health’s commitment to maintaining transparent and equitable compensation practices across our distinct geographic zones.
  Starting base salary for you will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include education; training; skills; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; our needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and understanding of geographic and market data. Compensation structures and ranges are tailored to each zone’s unique market conditions to ensure that all employees receive fair and great compensation package based on their roles and locations.
