We oversee national men's and women's programs, youth development, community rugby, and elite competitions including participation in the HSBC SVNS World Series. ABOUT THE ROLE The Manager, National Academy Operations and Pathway Competitions leads the delivery of Rugby Canada’s National Academy programs at the National Training Centre in Langford, BC, and Regional Training Centre (RTC) in Calgary, AB. The role oversees academy operations, pathway competitions, regional development camps, athlete services, budgets, communications, and stakeholder coordination in support of Rugby Canada’s high-performance pathway. The role manages day-to-day academy operations, including facilities, budgets, staff supervision, athlete services, communications, recruitment and retention support, coaching coordination, strength and conditioning, medical services, and performance planning. The Manager supports the integration of National Team athletes into NTC and RTC environments by coordinating training opportunities, athlete support services, and individualized preparation plans aligned with key international competitions and performance windows. The Manager also coordinates pathway competitions that support Rugby Canada’s National Team development system, working with National Team coaches, the Pathway Manager, and PSO partners on representative programs, regional competitions, and athlete development camps across Canada. Success in this role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and organizational skills to deliver high-performance athlete development programs, pathway competitions, talent identification initiatives, and integrated National Team support. One Squad Ethos Rugby Canada operates as One Squad: a unified high-performance system where programs collaborate, share knowledge, and support one another across the pathway. This role is expected to support national team and provincial programs through camps, training centres, competitions, knowledge transfer, and representation of Rugby Canada’s values and standards.
