Norstar Aluminum Products Ltd. Muskoka’s #1 Exterior decorator is seeking to fill a full-time Inside Sales Building Material Estimator.
You will apply your strong knowledge of the construction industry to the development and completion of accurate material estimates for our customers. Good working knowledge of the residential construction industry would be considered an asset. The Inside Sales Building Material Estimator should have the capability to develop, evaluate, compile and present material quotes for our residential building customers..

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in construction administration, and or the sales of building materials or similar experience,
• Minimum of a high school diploma,
• Valid Ontario Driver’s license,
• Familiarity with construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types
• Excellent verbal and written communication,
• Positive upbeat customer service demeanor,
• Ability to work independently in a productive manner, as well as contributing as effective team member when in those settings,
• A multi tasker, with the ability to complete tasks on or before deadlines,
• Highly organized, with a strong attention to detail,
• Strong computer skills ie Microsoft Office and our own operating system Jonas,
• Social media and Website management experience

• Discuss projects with owners, contractors, subcontractors and or designers, to determine suitable construction material to be used on various projects in an upbeat, positive manner and then quote the material with accuracy in a friendly and timely manner;
• Analyze blueprints, construction drawings, and other documentation to prepare materials estimates;
• Ensure an excellent level of client contact and communication;
• Maintain knowledge of inventory of stock product, along with current sales and promotions;
• Arrange and display merchandise in the showroom to promote sales;
• Act as the point person to discuss customer’s needs both through incoming phone calls or in person;
• Initiate phone calls and emails in order to communicate with customers for the purpose of selling product;
• Prepare letters, quotes, work orders;
• Comfortable processing cash, credit and debit card transactions;
• Participate in ongoing product training sessions;
• Attend trade shows;
• Attend community events (when required);
