Position Summary
The Solutions Specialist will be responsible for selling Duke Energy’s Outdoor Lighting, and Small-Medium Business (SMB) Energy Efficiency/Demand Response products and services. This involves managing the end-to-end sales process – servicing inbound inquiries, obtaining pertinent information from customers to provide targeted solutions, generating sales via outbound prospecting, supporting proposal development, maintaining account relationships, pipeline management and ensuring a smooth handoff for delivery. The Inside Sales Representative will act as a frontline representative of Duke Energy and will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of customer service and brand representation.
This role requires a self-starter with a problem-solving mindset and ability to take full ownership of finding the right solution for the customer. The ideal candidate will possess prior sales or account management experience, be comfortable using CRM systems, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment. Experience in sales for outdoor lighting, demand response and energy efficiency, along with basic design skills are a plus. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven sales professional looking to grow into roles with deeper customer engagement and greater account ownership.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth for Duke’s Products and Services (P&S) team. The inside sales team will be focused on driving sales for the following business units in P&S:
