Job Description

WHAT WE NEED:

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of (i) generative AI, (ii) molecular language models, (iii) structure prediction, (iv) active learning & optimal experimental design (OED), (v) multi-modal AI/ML models.

PURPOSE:

The Research Assistant position focuses on formulating, developing, and evaluating generative AI models for materials and life science applications. Topics of interest include: (i) generative AI, (ii) molecular language models, (iii) structure prediction, (iv) active learning & optimal experimental design (OED), (v) multi-modal AI/ML models.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Development of AI/ML models for effective and computationally efficient property prediction and generative molecular design.
• Construction of an AI/ML-ready scientific data repository.
• Collaborate with PI and other researchers at Texas A&M and other collaborating institutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
