About the role... Working as part of a skilled Engineering team, your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment. You’ll be involved in a variety of engineering tasks, ensuring a proactive approach to preventing equipment failure. Working on various types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic systems, you’ll be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on site. Working 42 hours per week from Monday to Friday, and 6 hours every 3rd Saturday morning, you'll be on a 3-shift rotation covering days and nights (predominately 6 am-2 pm, 2 pm-10 pm & 10 pm-7 am, but with an early finish on a Friday as we know the importance of work-life balance. What are the required skills? Apprentice-trained Engineer to NVQ Level 3 standard in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering ideally with the 18th Edition qualification Good working knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical engineering within a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment Welding experience is key for this role A flexible approach to varying work activities including production requirements Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements A clear passion for engineering with a desire to learn and grow in the role Industry experience is not essential as we can provide all the training you need.
