The Philanthropy Specialist, Grants and Sponsors will work under the direction of the Philanthropy Supervisor to plan, develop and implement strategies designed to realize the engagement potential of prospects. This role is primarily responsible for facilitating productive communication and access between organizations and Tri-Cities Chaplaincy. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, Public Relations, or related field. Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a nonprofit fundraising, development, or grant coordination setting, or equivalent experience. Minimum one (1) year of experience assisting with or submitting grant applications, sponsorship proposals, or funding requests. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional correspondence, proposals, reports, and donor communications. Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), spreadsheets, and database systems. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, maintain accurate records, and track deadlines. Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments and external partners, while demonstrating initiative and independent work capability. Self-motivated with the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, organization, and attention to detail. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, as driving is an essential function of this role. Must meet insurance eligibility requirements. This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, which includes cannabis testing in Washington State.
