DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER (HIGH CARE - COMPLEX NEEDS | PEDIATRIC SUPPORT)

ABOUT US:

At Discover Nursing Australia, we pride ourselves on recruiting compassionate, skilled, and reliable Disability Support Workers (DSWs) who provide meaningful care and companionship to individuals living with disability. We aim to uphold the dignity, comfort, and independence of every participant we support-especially those with complex needs.
We provide tailored in-home support that empowers participants to live safely and as independently as possible, all while being supported in their familiar home environment.

SUPPORT REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• Seizure monitoring and management (silent seizures common - must remain alert).
• PEG feeding management (experience essential).
• Oral suctioning as required.
• Continence care, including regular incontinence aid changes.
• Full assistance with all activities of daily living (personal hygiene, repositioning, etc.)
• Comfort and reassurance, as she spends most of her day in a hospital bed.

ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS:

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (or equivalent).
• Must have experience in:
• PEG feeding.
• Seizure monitoring.
• Oral suctioning.
• Personal & continence care.
• Valid ABN (free and quick to apply under personal name).
• Police Check (within 3 years).
• Working With Children Check (WWCC).
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC).
• Current First Aid (within 3 years) and CPR (within 1 year).
• Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module:https://www.ndiscommission.gov.au/workers/training-course
