Job Description Lead the design and implementation of electrical systems for airport projects, including airfield lighting, control systems, and distribution systems. Manage electrical design for various infrastructure projects, including field electrical centers, parking garage systems, clean heat plants, and solar/PV systems. Oversee the design and implementation of EV charging infrastructure for new developments. Develop and maintain design documentation, specifications, and reports in accordance with industry standards. Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and other multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into larger projects. Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and design teams. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, local codes, and industry best practices. Participate in client and project meetings, providing valuable input and insights. Contribute to the growth of the Electrical department through the review and development of standards and templates. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is required in good standing with a Canadian engineering regulator. A minimum of 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering. Strong understanding of applicable codes, standards, and regulations, including CEC and other local and international standards. Experience in AutoCAD, and other electrical design software is an asset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both internal teams and external clients. Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and mentor teams. Additional Skills and Experience (Preferred but not required): Knowledge of sustainability initiatives and energy-efficient design practices. Familiarity with airport security systems, control systems, and related technologies.
