We are recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer to work at our plant in Windsor, ON (6500 Cantelon Dr.).

JOB SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing manufacturing processes to achieve the company’s production goals. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency in the manufacturing operations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of proven shop floor manufacturing engineering experience, preferred in Automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology.
• Experience with CAD software and proficiency in designing manufacturing layouts.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team environment
• Willingness to travel as needed to support manufacturing operations at other sites or to evaluate new technologies and equipment.
• May require availability outside of traditional working hours to resolve urgent production issues or to support project deadlines.

• Process Design and Implementation: Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
• Automation: Design, build and implement automation to improve production efficiency and quality.
• Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement: Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities and plan, implement to enhance operational efficiency.
• Quality Assurance: Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that manufacturing processes meet industry standards and product specifications.
• Equipment Selection and Maintenance: Make technical decision of the purchase of new manufacturing equipment. Coordinate maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment to ensure minimal downtime.
• Continuous Improvement: Apply lean manufacturing and six sigma principles to eliminate waste, improve processes, and reduce variability in production.
• Documentation and Compliance: Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, such as process flow charts, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Collaboration and Support: Work with product development engineers to integrate new products into the manufacturing process. Provide technical support and training to production staff.
