We are looking for a Lead Software Developer for Data Protection Solutions with strong development and trouble-shooting abilities and excellent communication skills and to maintain and improve our released software and support customers and partners who rely on it.

What the role offers:As a Lead Software Developer, you will:

• Rapidly acquire a broad understanding of the products, their overall architecture and how they are deployed and used in production.
• Understand the architecture and design of the Suite of Server Backup products.
• Actively assist in the investigation of problems encountered by customers and partners.
• Contribute to finding workaround, implementing/validating fixes and patches.
• Independently investigate and resolve problems encountered by customers and partners.
• Work closely with Support Engineers and members of development teams to deliver bug-fixes.
• Gain deep knowledge of the design and implementation of multiple sub-components of the products.
• Lead by example in the practice and promotion of excellence in communication, troubleshooting, and software development.
• In-depth understanding of OpenText/Carbonite Server backup product suite.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and address complex issues.
• Lead projects from a technical standpoint, communicating with other groups as needed.
• Propose enhancements to internal processes and application stack.
