Job description

• You design, plan, and control the entire testing process for the control software of military communication systems under Windows and Linux.
• Your responsibilities include creating and maintaining test strategies, test and inspection specifications, and test and acceptance plans.
• You ensure the quality of the software through functional, non-functional and regression tests at the system and integration levels.
• You will further develop the test framework, including CI integration and continuous test execution, and define suitable test environments.
• Working closely with development and product managers, you identify and correct errors early on and maintain the test and quality documentation.

Requirements

• You have a completed degree in computer science, communications engineering, electrical engineering, physics or a comparable field.
• Furthermore, you have at least five years of professional experience in testing complex applications, ideally in the field of real-time or communication software.
• Solid knowledge in creating test concepts, test cases and test documentation speaks in your favor.
• You have practical experience with test automation using Gherkin, Python and Qt Squish, as well as with integration into GitLab CI, version control, issue tracking, test environments, and debugging and profiling tools.
• Furthermore, you impress with your strong analytical skills, high attention to detail and error, good communication skills, intercultural competence, and a proactive, independent, solution-oriented, team-oriented, and service-oriented work style.
• To perform this responsible position, you will need not only your professional expertise but also a valid work permit, a permanent residence in Germany, and fluent German skills (at least C1 level).
