JOB DESCRIPTION – LOCUM MIDDLE GRADE DOCTOR (REGISTRAR LEVEL)

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking experienced Locum Middle Grade Doctors to support clinical services across multiple specialties at NHS Trust. The posts are available for immediate start, with flexible contracts via agency. The successful candidate will be expected to provide high-quality care, support junior colleagues, and contribute to safe and effective service delivery.

REQUIREMENTS

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Minimum of 3 years postgraduate medical experience.
• Experience working at ST3+/Middle Grade/Registrar level within chosen specialty.
• ALS certification (mandatory for acute specialties).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to start at short notice (ASAP).

• Provide safe and effective clinical care within your specialty.
• Manage inpatients, outpatients, and emergency presentations.
• Participate in ward rounds, clinics, theatre/endoscopy sessions, and on-calls as required.
• Support the supervision and training of junior doctors and allied health professionals.
• Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Adhere to Trust policies, GMC guidance, and NHS governance frameworks.
