POSITION: AZ/DZ DRIVER
Location: Pembroke, Ontario
Shift Time: Early morning starts between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM,(Monday to Friday) — Weekends as required
Pay Rate: Starting pay is $23–$25 per hour (depending on experience)
One of our clients is currently seeking a Full-Time AZ or DZ Driver to join their team in Pembroke. This position involves daily deliveries to Ottawa and surrounding areas, including runs to Sudbury or Richmond Hill as needed.
Drivers can expect numerous stops per shift, with some lifting and loading involved. The successful candidate will operate a straight or articulated truck to haul reinforcing steel and other materials to customer sites throughout Ontario.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Valid AZ License / Air Brake (Z) endorsement
· Minimum 3 years of driving experience with an AZ license
· 3 AM start time working 10–14 hour days on Mondays and Tuesdays
· Experience hauling steel would be an asset
· Clean Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) Certificate
· Sound knowledge of safe driving practices
· Previous experience working in an industrial environment is an asset
· Previous experience in machine operation is an asset

· Operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
· Hauling reinforcing steel on a flat-bed trailer
· Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, and brakes
· Minor truck maintenance i.e. adding oil, fueling
· Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
· Responsible for completing a pre- and post-inspection of the vehicle each day before operating
· Responsible for documenting all inspections to ensure equipment is maintained and in proper working order
· Assist with shunting trailers, assisting with loading and off-loading of trailers at Company yards/sites
· Sitting, standing, reaching, bending, and working in a variety of environments, both internal and external in all types of weather conditions
· Follow all plant and company safety guidelines in the performance of all job duties and responsibilities
