OVERVIEW

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team here at Freedom Delivery Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment. The Delivery Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with freight handling procedures and best practices for safe transportation of goods.
  • Basic automotive repair skills are a plus, allowing for minor vehicle maintenance when necessary.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in order to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members.
  • Ability to lift heavy items (up to 75 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading freight. Join our team as a Delivery Driver where your skills will contribute significantly to our operations while providing exceptional service to our customers!

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate delivery vehicle ; vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Load and unload freight, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery/report logs and any necessary paperwork.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
  • Adhere to traffic laws and company policies while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
  • Assist with inventory management by reporting any discrepancies or damages during transit.
