JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking reliable and experienced Local AZ/DZ Truck Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting equipment & materials safely and efficiently within the local & surrounding area. This role requires adherence to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Ontario Class AZ or DZ Driver’s License with a clean Driving Record.
• Minimum of [1] year of experience as a truck driver, with preference given to candidates with more than [1] year of experience.
• Strong knowledge of local roads, routes, and traffic patterns.
• Ability to operate various types of trucks and equipment safely and proficiently.
• Excellent driving skills, including maneuvering through tight spaces and adverse weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
• Good physical condition, with the ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime as required.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to customers.

• Safely operate and maneuver a variety of vehicles, including Single, Tandem & Tri-Axle Trucks (Automatic & Manual Transmissions), with or without Float Trailers (Air-Brake & Hydraulic), within the local & surrounding area.
• Transport equipment and materials to designated locations promptly and efficiently.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safe and legal transportation practices.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects or maintenance issues promptly.
• Load and unload equipment & materials as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of items for safety, and to prevent damage while in transit.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with other team members to coordinate schedules and optimize route efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with office staff, supervisors, material suppliers and customers to ensure smooth and timely delivery operations
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both inside the vehicle cab and at work locations.
