SUMMARY: The ReStore Donation Ambassador is responsible for retrieving donations from residential and corporate donors during ReStore operating hours driving our Affiliate vehicles. This role's primary responsibility will be to serve as an ambassador for the Houston Habitat for Humanity Mission. This includes building customer and donor relationships by providing friendly and prompt service. In addition, stocking merchandise, pricing items to sell and keeping the store clean daily. Other duties such as event support and brand awareness via our social media platforms and online store task will be on an as-need basis. Ambassador hours are Monday-Saturday 8am-5pm. Special events hours will vary based on event needs. Requirements The employee must be able to perform the following job functions:• Operate Affiliate Vehicles in a safe, lawful, and courteous manner.• Maintain cleanliness of trucks interior and exterior (cab/daily; exterior/weekly)• Regular maintenance checks to always ensure the readiness of truck and equipment including reporting any maintenance concerns to supervisor Restore Management. • Loading/unloading of donations to all Affiliate ReStores in a safe and efficient manner. • Professional and courteous interaction with donors including utmost care and concern for personal property. • Assist with donation processing and store needs when not assigned to truck. • Able to train and pass fort lift training course. • Drivers must be eligible to be added to Habitat vehicle insurance- this requires at least 5 years of driving experience and a favorable driving record.
