DRIVER TRAINING SPECIALIST

Windstar Lines is seeking a Driver Training Specialist at our Cedar Rapids, IA terminal. This position is a dual role with Training and Driving a motorcoach.

• Assist ownership and management with the development of driver training that fosters safe driving actions and a safe driving mentality.
• Develop and deliver training to new and existing motorcoach drivers on safe driving techniques, DOT regulations, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
• Train and coach drivers that have been identified, through internal company policies and programs, for retraining.
• Provides retraining after accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Works closely with the branch manager to schedule training for new and existing team members.
• Seek feedback from managers and team members about effectiveness of training and implement improvements as needed with cooperation from all training coordinators.
• Travel may be required to help at other locations as needed. (25%)
