My client are a leading warehousing and distribution with sites across the UK, serving predominantly the UK FMCG market. As part of the busy transport operations team, your role will be to monitor and manage real-time location an status of the clients deliveries and collections.

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in a distribution environment and familiarity with using fleet telematics and TM systems is essential.
• Knowledge and understand of Operators Licence requirements.
• Previous experience working in a similar role is desirable.

• Monitor the real-time location and status of all deliveries and collections.
• Address delays or disruptions promptly by coordinating with drivers and relevant departments.
• Ensure timely dispatch and arrival of vehicles in line with planned schedules.
• Provide proactive and accurate delivery/collection status to customers real time.
• Maintain regular communication with shift managers to align on vehicle availability, driver status, and operational challenges.
• Update shift managers on any incidents, route changes, or customer issues that may impact daily targets.
• Support shift handovers by clearly documenting and communicating outstanding issues or follow-ups.
• Utilise transport management software (TMS), GPS tracking system
• Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the accident reporting procedure.
