As a Systems Engineer with MTSI you will provide technical leadership in the development, documentation, and integration of design specifications, system requirements, engineering management plans, implementation planning, and test plans as part of a team with senior executives, project managers, data scientists, and engineers to ensure the technical integrity of assigned missions. Essential Job Functions System Design and Architecture: Develop and design system architecture and software solutions based on requirements and specifications. Create detailed design documents, including diagrams and models, to guide development. Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements. Ensure that requirements are clear, complete, and consistent. Software Development: Write, test, and maintain high-quality code for software systems. Utilize various programming languages and tools to develop software components and modules. Satellite Modeling Model satellite systems including sensor operations System Integration: Integrate software components and third-party applications into the overall system. Ensure seamless communication and interoperability between different system parts. Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans to verify the functionality, performance, and security of software systems. Identify and fix defects and issues through rigorous testing processes. Performance Optimization: Monitor and analyze system performance to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Optimize the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of software systems.
