We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting processes within the construction industry. This role requires strong leadership skills and expertise in managing complex accounting tasks, including month-end close and general ledger maintenance. • Manage and oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team to achieve departmental goals and maintain high performance.
• Conduct account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Handle journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions.
• Oversee work-in-progress accounting for construction projects, maintaining proper tracking and reporting.
• Collaborate with external auditors during financial statement audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
• Implement and monitor accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Provide financial insights and reports to support decision-making processes.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction accounting or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and month-end close procedures.
• Experience with work-in-progress accounting for construction projects.
• Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
• Expertise in account reconciliation and journal entry management.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
