Social Work Assistants in this team will support young people who have left care to engage in a programme of work that supports them to develop readiness for independent living and to access and sustain their own tenancy. This will include delivery of group work and one to one work following the ORCHIDS framework and a programme of modules provided by the National House Project.  The Role  You will be involved in the assessment and management of risk and need, supporting young people to engage with a range of supports available in their communities and empowering young people to become active and responsible citizens.  You will support young people using a psychologically informed framework developed by the National House Project. The role will also involve supporting young people to engage in participatory work through the Care Leavers National Movement.  You will facilitate group work and take time to plan and evaluate sessions held with service users.  You will use IT to support young people to upload evidence to portfolios which will contribute towards achieving an SQA accredited qualification.  You will contribute to multiagency meetings, communicating updates and supporting the development of robust plans to support young people on their pathway out of care.   You will be responsible for following financial procedures in handling finances relating to the setting up of tenancies and emergency crisis support.  You will attend regular learning and development to ensure you achieve professional development and will regularly update a personal development plan.  You will contribute to work which will support the implementation of the Promise in Fife.  You will be responsible for supporting planning for young people and work collaboratively with a range of multi-agency partners to achieve positive outcomes for young people. The position will involve lone working, adhering to lone working procedures, and require an ability to travel throughout Fife.
