Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Sciences, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or a closely related field with a strong geospatial component. Must have graduated within the past 24 months in line with graduate program requirements. Foundational experience with GIS tools and concepts gained through academic projects, internships, fieldwork, or coursework. Proficiency in GIS software, including ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, and/or QGIS, with the ability to create, edit, analyze, and visualize spatial datasets. Basic understanding of spatial analysis, cartographic principles, coordinate systems, and geospatial data management. Familiarity with Python or R for geoprocessing, automation, or spatial data analysis, with a willingness to build deeper programming skills on the job.
