Job Description Here's what you will do: We are looking to fill the position of an Electrical Technologist to join our electrical engineering unit, forming part of a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering team. The company undertakes large capital projects for various clients, across many sectors. The Technologist conducts assignments in the electrical engineering field usually as part of a project team. Technical Excellence: Conducts assignments in the electrical engineering field Plans, organizes and manages small/medium projects Makes recommendations on alternate solutions to engineering problems Prepares and presents technical plans and reports Institutes changes in methods, designs or equipment Under Supervision, performs work following the agreed-upon budget and schedule. When required, collects and analyses information from specific discipline and interdisciplinary project BIM models. Uses computer software as a tool for solving fundamental engineering problems. Coordinates with other discipline Engineers as applicable for the continuity of the design process. Participates in design progress and coordination meetings. Checks and ensures the quality of model production by BIM/CAD teams for accuracy to - design instructions. Actively seeks information, opportunities to participate and contribute, and develops efficiencies and effectiveness. Contributes by solving problems and applying experience or theoretical knowledge to atypical assignments. Assists with the design content by applying both design and technical knowledge to ensure high-quality outputs under project timelines. Proficient in BIM Software Revit Detailed Electrical Engineering of LV and MV systems including the development and checking of: Load Lists Single Line Diagrams Network Diagrams Electrical Schematic Diagrams Hazardous Area Classification Diversification and Load factors.
