JOB DESCRIPTION:

Lead the creation of comprehensive, effective end-to-end test strategies and plans for platforms and projects on high profile, complex and high-risk initiatives with significant impact to the organization. Overall accountability on test approach and test delivery, maximizing automation to provide for fast delivery based on requirements and specifications
Provide test expertise with a focus on efficiency, developing innovative solutions covering all aspects of testing, with a focus on automation, end to end solutioning leveraging diverse solutions (test data management, service virtualization and/or test environment provisioning)
Will act as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role or as Journey Test Lead partnering with Journey Solution Train Engineers (SLTE), Release Train Engineers (RTE), and Product Family to provide a broad range of test services and strategies, ensuring business needs and objectives are achieved (scope is across multiple Platforms and/or multiple Lines of Business influencing QE teams to achieve goals).

CUSTOMER

• Accountable for Test Strategy deliverables, planning, test design /development, test case automation and test execution to achieve business outcomes for medium to high complexity scope.
• Integrate directly into a team’s continuous delivery process, augmenting the delivery of quality software and ensuring speed, agility, and risk management.
• Provide leadership, direction and feedback throughout the development and design processes; provides test development / automation support to ensure that the quality of the intended solution is met
• Able to determine testing impacts for multiple delivery teams and scale accordingly to ensuring positive business outcomes
• Responsible for activities related to risk identification and mitigation and validating that business outcomes are achieved.
• Drive quality and metrics making improvements in delivery; work on becoming a leader in innovation
• Utilize advanced domain knowledge & ability to understand technical solutions to build an optimized Test Approach, inclusive of the tooling strategy
• Effectively engineer and leverage virtual assets to support virtualization of any incomplete / unavailable code, service, database, etc.
• Have strong knowledge of test data management to reuse automated test data provisioning capabilities to be able to adopt a standard test data tool set
• Lead deployment and implementation of tools / processes / resources and automation for functional and/or non-functional testing (performance, readiness / reliability testing (ORT), accessibility, security) approach, frameworks, and ensure automated tests are integrated into the continuous integration, delivery, and testing (CI/CD/CT) pipelines
• Identify opportunities for test asset reusability and efficiencies in test approach
• Proactively seek continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and responsible for developing, documenting, and proactively identifying end-to-end test solution designs and early automation opportunities within the testing process
• Lead team and collaborate cross-functionally with development, business analysts, etc. to ensure proper assessment of user stories including acceptance criteria and Definition of Done (DoD) / Ready (DoR)
• Apply Coach and mentor others on the principles of behavior / Test Driven Development (BDD / TDD) and focus on value driven outcomes

SDET (in addition to above)

• Provide advanced test development support
• Accountable for test architecture activities
• Sitting at the Product Group (PG) level, act as a quality expert working across numerous development teams in medium complexity deliveries
• Act as an expert who can quickly troubleshoot and accountable for use of automation frameworks across numerous delivery teams as needed
• Ensure quality of source code; looking for opportunities to effectively leverage tools and engineering practices (DevOps tools and processes, SV, monitoring tools and process, etc.)
• Accountable for early contributions to the design and development process \ to ensure built-in-quality code

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline; or equivalent practical experience
• Strong academic background (e.g., software engineering, computer science)
• 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Minimum of two years of experience with the Salesforce/Mulesoft platforms
• Experience in developing test strategies and release roadmaps on CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Pega, or PeopleSoft.
• Proven experience in creating comprehensive test strategies for Salesforce implementations and migration projects.
• Experience with automation frameworks, integrating open-source test automation tools (e.g., Selenium) with Salesforce-specific accelerators.
• Strong experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and end-to-end testing across Salesforce and other platforms.
• Strong Test Management Skills – Create program level strategies, test metrics and reporting, ability to drive sprint scope, retrospection, and influence changes to align to best practices
• Experience in leading Tier 1, 2 programs with multiple teams and across LOB’s
• Strong Technical background across automation, virtualization, test data management and non-functional testing
