Description Job Summary Inspects products in pre-hardening, post-hardening and finishing operation phases for compliance with order specifications, established company standards, and conformance with the company’s quality control system. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Performs pre-hardening inspection using ultrasonic and mechanical procedures to qualify product quality for the hardening operation. · Performs post-hardening inspection using hardness testing equipment to approve product for the finish machining operations. · Conducts finish inspection of rolls using micrometers, scales, profilometers, calipers, testing devices and gauss meters to ensure compliance with customer specifications. · Performs ultrasonic inspection, dye penetrate, magna flux testing and roll etching of finished product. · Documents inspection results through the completion of relevant records, including inspection cards, nonconformance reports, and receiving reports. · Receives and inspects customer rolls to determine processing requirements. · Manages inspection activities associated with parts assembly.
