Reporting to the Operations Strategy & Delivery Manager, the Assets & Services Delivery Lead is responsible for running the operational backbone that keeps Council’s frontline services moving. This is a hands‑on leadership role focused on safe, reliable delivery, strong performance and getting value from people, plant and assets. You will lead a diverse group of enabling and maintenance services—including city cleaning, mechanical and building maintenance, logistics, procurement and warehouse functions—to ensure Council’s assets, facilities, plant and equipment are well maintained and available when needed. A key part of the role is embedding commercial operating practices at the delivery level. You’ll strengthen job costing, productivity, planning and cost control, and drive performance across teams—without compromising safety, quality or service outcomes. This is about making work visible, measurable and well managed. You’ll balance day‑to‑day delivery with improving how work gets done, bringing consistency, structure and accountability to busy operational environments that don’t stop.
