Job Description
- Effectuer et vérifier les calculs d’analyse des contraintes de tuyauterie, mener des études et préparer des rapports;
- Préparation de la liste des lignes critiques, des spécifications d’analyse des contraintes de tuyauterie, des spécifications techniques des fiches techniques des supports à ressorts;
- Sélection des types de supports et de supports spéciaux à un emplacement structurel réalisable;
- Aider les concepteurs de tuyauterie à développer des solutions de support de tuyauterie appropriées;
- Fournir des charges de conception de tuyauterie sur les structures de processus, le support de tuyauterie, etc., au département civil/structurel;
- Coordination avec d’autres disciplines d’ingénierie comme la mécanique, les procédés, l’instrumentation, le génie civil, les fournisseurs et le client ;
- Examen des dispositions de tuyauterie pour assurer la compatibilité avec une conception spécifique ;
- Examiner les conceptions de support de tuyauterie et fournir un support de conception aux concepteurs de tuyauterie ;
- Vérification générale des conceptions de tuyauterie et de leur conformité aux codes réglementaires spécifiques ;
- Examiner les spécifications, les dessins et la documentation de l’équipement du fournisseur ;
- Effectuer des tâches de vérification des documents et de vérification de la conception conformément aux procédures de l’entreprise et du projet ;
- Contribuer aux critères de conception de la discipline pour les activités d’ingénierie ou de conception ;
- S’assurer que la conception respecte les normes de l’entreprise et de l’industrie, ainsi que les codes réglementaires;
- Rester à jour avec les connaissances et les compétences dans les meilleures pratiques de l’ingénierie;
- Possibilité de voyages d’affaires occasionnels (les sites de projet et/ou rencontres clients).

- Perform and check piping stress analysis calculations, conduct studies and prepare reports;
- Preparing critical line list, piping stress analysis specification, technical specification for Spring Hangers/Supports datasheets;
- Selecting types of supports, restraints and special support at feasible structural location;
- Assist piping designers to develop appropriate pipe support solutions;
- Providing piping design loads on process structures, pipe rack etc., to civil/structure department;
- Coordination with other engineering disciplines like Mechanical, Process, Instrumentation, Civil & Structural, Vendors & Customer;
- Review of piping layouts to ensure compatibly with specific design;
- Review piping support designs and provide design support to piping designers;
- General verification of piping designs and their compliance against specific regulatory codes;
- Reviews specifications, drawings, and vendor equipment documentation;
- Conduct document checking and design verification tasks in accordance with company and project procedures;
- Contribute to discipline Design Criteria for engineering or design activities;
- Ensure design meets company and industry standards, as well as regulatory codes;
- Remain up to date with knowledge and skills in engineering’s best practices;
- Possibility of occasional travelling (to project sites and/or client’s meeting).
Qualifications
- Baccalauréat en génie mécanique;
- Membre inscrit et en règle auprès de l’Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
- Minimum de 15 années d’expérience dans la réalisation analyse des contraintes;
- Expérience de l’utilisation du logiciel de sortie de stress CAESAR II ;
- Solide connaissance des codes et normes applicables tels que ASME B31.3/31.1 et API 610, 661, 617, 650, 560;
- La connaissance de la conception de supports de tuyauterie à l’aide des logiciels de conception Autodesk AutoCAD/Inventor et/ou AVEVA E3D/PDMS est un atout ;
- Expérience avec les interfaces greenfield et brownfield, y compris l’expérience en constructibilité;
- Expérience avec Autocad et Navisworks;
- Connaissance de AVEVA E3D/PDMS (un atout);
- Expérience de chantier (un atout);
- Habiletés à travailler en équipe et à communiquer.
- Bon jugement et attention aux détails.
- Bonnes compétences interpersonnelles.
- Français et anglais (à l’oral et à l’écrit).

- Registered member and in good standing with the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Quebec (OIQ);
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience performing stress analysis;
- Experience using CAESAR II stress outputs software;
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as ASME B31.3 /31.1 and related API 610, 661, 617, 650, 560.;
- Knowledge of pipe support design in using Autodesk AutoCAD/Inventor and/or AVEVA E3D/PDMS design software software is an asset;
- Experience with greenfield and brownfield interfaces, including constructability experience;
- Strong experience with Autocad & Navisworks;
- Knowledge of AVEVA E3D/PDMS design software (an asset);
- Construction Site experience (an asset);
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Details oriented.
- French and English (speaking and writing).
