We are looking for a head chef who would like to join our small team with experience in sushi and would like a new challenge to lead our team. The ideal candidate needs to be passionate and committed.
Duties:
- take on head chef and lead chef responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the chef
- Follow recipes and ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Assist in supervising kitchen staff and delegating tasks as needed
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Skills:
- Hospitality: Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
- Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients, measuring portions, and following recipes accurately
- Restaurant Experience: Familiarity with restaurant operations and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen Knowledge: Basic understanding of kitchen equipment, utensils, and cooking techniques
- Supervising: Ability to assist in supervising kitchen staff and delegating tasks effectively
- Food Safety: Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Culinary Skills: culinary skills such as knife handling, cooking techniques, and plating presentation
- Leadership: Ability to take initiative, work independently, and make decisions when necessary
