1. JOB DESCRIPTION

a) Design network structure (including cabling, configuring hardware devices and housekeeping) in the following fixed and wireless environments
a.i) Enterprise
a.ii) LAN, WAN, VLAN
b) Design firewall, network access and cybersecurity structure (including configuring hardware devices)
c) Design virtual machine environments to support network systems
d) Install, set up and operate server operating systems and perform system administration tasks
e) Install, set up and operate backup and storage systems
f) Operate and maintain network and virtual elements
g) Perform installation, configuration and set-up of all new computer / laptop / computerised equipment
h) Participate and perform duty engineering works in shift work when rostered
i) Take and manage in-coming calls from end users (including logging of trouble tickets and resolution)
j) Perform any tasks as instructed by the supervisor

2. JOB REQUIREMENTS (SINGAPOREANS ONLY)

a) Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
b) Able to work after office hours to
b.i) service customer environments and to complete troubleshooting and resolve issues
b.ii) complete troubleshooting and resolve issues
c) Disciplined to complete meeting minutes within 2 working days
d) Disciplined to report to work on time, log in and log out for attendance daily, complete time sheets with accurate and meaningful information, complete service reports within 1 working day, issue trouble tickets immediately whenever a customer calls and enters information into company database
e) Able to join duty engineering after office hours and weekends when rostered
f) Respond to alerts within half an hour to ensure service levels
g) Disciplined to clean/housekeep internal work areas and customer sites
h) Familiar with Cisco or equivalent network calculations, commands and technologies (certifications would be advantageous)
i) Familiar with AWS or equivalent cloud commands, budgets and technologies (certifications would be advantageous)
j) Familiar with Synology or equivalent storage calculations, commands and technologies (certifications would be advantageous)
k) Familiar with APC or equivalent UPS calculations, commands and technologies (certifications would be advantageous)
l) Familiar with cabling or equivalent UTP or fibre-related calculations, housekeeping and standards (certifications would be advantageous)
m) Familiar with the use of Autocad, Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams, SharePoint and Project (certifications would be advantageous)
n) Familiar with 802.1q, Q-in-Q, 802.1x, VRF, Wireshark, Packet Tracer, Excel, Word and Powerpoint
o) Familiar with building Bill of Materials for solutioning and pre-sales technical write-ups
p) Minimum ITE Higher NITEC qualifications (Fresh/Entry)
q) Minimum English with grade C6 at N or O levels or Equivalent Standards of GCE/GCSE/SPM O/N Levels
