PERSONAL CAREGIVER

Health Care Aide required for Home Support in Parksville, BC
About the role: We are seeking a compassionate Health Care Aide (HCA) or LPN to provide home support alongside a team of other experienced HCA’s.

The role includes:

  • Assisting with all Activities of Daily Living including: bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
  • Performing range of motion exercises
  • Light housekeeping
  • Accompanying client on recreational outings
  • About our family member: A male adult, who requires the use of a power wheelchair and enjoys outdoor activities such as trips to the beach and island day trips. On rainy days, he enjoys playing cards or watching movies. He has a great sense of humor and is looking for someone who can complement his active lifestyle.

What we’re looking for:

  • At least one year of experience in personal care
  • Proficiency with a two-person lift
  • Reliable, organized, and physically fit
  • Friendly and eager to assist

Position Details:

  • Part-Time, day shifts – Mon-Fri- 8:00am -1:00pm with some flexibility required
  • Competitive remuneration with merit increases
  • Training provided
  • Non-smoking, fragrance-free environment
  • Family cat, Bo, is on duty most days
