Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Mall Center in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. You will also deliver outstanding customer service and communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team built on integrity. Position Type: Full Time / Graveyard Shift Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed11:00 PM - 07:30 AMThur11:00 PM - 07:30 AMFri11:00 PM - 07:30 AMSat11:00 PM - 07:30 AMSun11:00 PM - 07:30 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report details according to site guidelines. Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, storefront corridors, and public gathering areas while assisting with access-related concerns, directions, and general support for the location. Document routine activities, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns, and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related matters. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
