Job Description As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol in Chehalis, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for customers and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver outstanding customer service while addressing any security-related concerns. This is a driving post, requiring you to navigate the property and respond promptly to situations as they arise. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.80 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon12:00 PM - 11:30 PMTue12:00 PM - 11:30 PMWed12:00 PM - 11:30 PM What You’ll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment. Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management as needed. Assist with access control procedures and monitor entry and exit points as required by site-specific guidelines. Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Customer service experience is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
