REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join our team supporting the Federal Protective Service (FPS) at DHS, where your analytical skills will help shape decisions that protect people and property across the nation. As a Data & Business Analyst, you’ll bridge the gap between data and decision-making—turning complex information into clear, actionable insights. You’ll work with stakeholders across technical and business teams, develop dashboards and reports, and contribute to projects that have real operational impact.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Analyze business processes, gather requirements, and identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
• Collect, model, and interpret large, complex datasets from multiple sources.
• Build and maintain dynamic Power BI dashboards and Excel reports (including advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, and DAX calculations).
• Automate data pipelines by integrating Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, SharePoint Online) with Power BI.
• Translate data into compelling visuals and narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support survey design, stakeholder interviews, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Create clear documentation and presentations using Word and PowerPoint.
• Partner with senior analysts and project leads to ensure deliverables meet client needs and expectations.
