What you’d be doing?
- Configure, manage, and install various networking devices (e.g., firewalls, switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points).
- Build and manage Entra ID/Azure environments.
- Build and manage Microsoft 365 environments.
- Implement and manage cybersecurity tools, such as DNS filtering, AV, EDR, MDR, email filtering, DMARC, etc.
- Build and manage Windows Server through Hyper-V.
- Deploy and manage endpoint management solutions like Intune.
- Build and manage Azure Cloud Infrastructure (servers, Windows Virtual Desktop, etc.).
- Set up and manage phone solutions with integrations such as Microsoft Teams.
- Perform maintenance on networking devices, including firmware updates and applying hotfixes.
- Monitor performance and ensure systems’ availability and reliability.
- Configure and support network services, such as IPSec/SSL VPN, DHCP, and DNS.
- Comply with established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
- Configure and implement security tools, policies, and procedures.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
- Support cloud infrastructure, including email servers, file sharing, and messaging directories.
- Back up configurations, document changes, and keep the asset register up to date.
- Assist in professional services: project management and engineering.
Who you are:
- EU Passport & STAMP 4 only—no exceptions, sorry folks.
- A third-level degree is desirable but not essential.
- Great craic and easy-going attitude.
- Proven mid-senior level experience in system and network administration—years of experience don’t matter. We’ve seen folks with 3 years’ experience flooring those with 10. Be a good egg.
- Experience supporting and/or configuring industry-standard firewalls.
- Experience supporting and/or configuring switches and wireless access points.
- Experience with complex networks, including VLANs.
- Proven upskilling record (industry-standard certifications, Microsoft exams, etc.).
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 & Entra ID.
- Experience supporting cloud infrastructure, such as Azure.
- Familiarity with ITIL-type ticketing systems, RMM, cybersecurity, disaster recovery/backups, and documentation tools.
- A clean Irish driving license—highly desirable but not absolutely necessary.
- Excellent communication skills—we love singing from the same hymn sheet.
