The Role The Associate Product Manager will support the development and iteration of products that make high-quality mental health care more accessible, inclusive, and effective. You will help define and ship features that serve members, clinicians, and employer customers across Modern Health’s digital health platform. In this early-career role, you will work closely with experienced Product Managers, Design, Engineering, Data, Clinical, Operations, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing to learn the full product lifecycle—from discovery and problem definition through launch and ongoing optimization. You’ll gain broad exposure to how a health tech company builds safe, evidence-informed, and engaging experiences at scale. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about mental health, curious about how technology and product thinking can improve outcomes, and eager to grow into a Product Manager role over time. What You’ll Do Support the definition of product problems and opportunities by synthesizing member, clinician, and customer feedback, usage data, and market research into clear problem statements and hypotheses. Contribute to the creation and refinement of product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, ensuring they are grounded in user needs, business goals, and clinical and regulatory considerations. Partner with Design and Engineering to support discovery and delivery, including participating in design reviews, grooming and planning sessions, and sprint ceremonies. Help maintain a prioritized backlog for your product area, making trade-offs between impact, effort, risk, and dependencies with guidance from senior Product Managers. Who You Are 1–3 years of professional experience in product, consulting, business operations, analytics, design, engineering, or a related field; internships and co-op experience in product or tech are a plus. Demonstrated interest in product management and building digital experiences, ideally with exposure to B2B SaaS, B2C apps, or healthcare/health tech. Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data to inform decisions; experience with spreadsheets and product analytics tools is required, and familiarity with SQL or similar tools is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you can distill complex ideas into simple, clear explanations tailored to different audiences.
