At Specter, data is at the heart of everything we do. Our data team—the biggest in the company—works side-by-side with product to power the tech side of the business.
We own Specter’s data end-to-end: from collecting it, to matching and cleaning it, to delivering it efficiently via our product and API. Somewhere along the way, we also sprinkle in some AI magic. With 30+ data sources and a whole lot of data flying around, there’s never a dull moment.
We’re proud to move fast. Check out our release notes to see what’s new on the product side—but there’s just as much happening behind the scenes, introducing ClickHouse or moving from pandas to polars.
AI has unlocked a ton of exciting opportunities. We’ve built some of the highest quality data in the industry, and that gives us an incredible springboard to take advantage of all the possibilities today, as we’ve already been doing with our recent AI Search and Similar Companies, and a lot more to come.

WHO YOU ARE

We’re looking for someone who gets really excited about data— and someone who takes ownership and cares deeply about the real-world impact of what they build.
Further you have:
Strong experience with Python and SQL
Good level of familiarity with Postgres (a plus: Clickhouse / DuckDB)
Data engineering experience
Excited by moving fast and building products end-to-end
