Field Supervisor- Logistics Department: Population Health Division: Medical College Location: Nairobi, Kenya Project Overview The Longitudinal Study of Health and Ageing in Kenya (LOSHAK) is a major research collaboration between the Aga Khan University in Nairobi and the University of Michigan, involving multiple Kenyan and international partners including Kenya's Ministry of Health and Kenya National Bureau of Statistics. Funded by the U.S. National Institute on Health, this project will collect multi-modal data (surveys, biological measures, mobile health assessments, etc.) from 8,955 older Kenyans, examining nearly all aspects of their physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and economic well-being. Role Summary The LOSHAK Field Supervisor, Logistics will support the implementation of field activities by coordinating field logistics, transport, equipment management, and operational support for field teams. The role exists to ensure that enumerators and research teams have the necessary logistical support to conduct fieldwork efficiently, safely, and according to project schedules. Key Responsibilities Field logistics planning Coordinate field survey teams transport schedules Manage field travel plans Ensure vehicles, fuel and drivers are available for field teams. Equipment and materials management Manage field study equipment including tablets, chargers, GPS devices, survey materials, track distribution and retrieval. Support to field teams Provide logistical support to field survey teams during field operations Assist with survey team accommodation and field supplies. Field operations coordination Work with Field Coordinator to implement daily work plans Assist with organization of field movements and schedules. Monitoring logistics and safety Ensure safe transport and adherence to travel policies Monitor vehicle use and field safety procedures.
