• You work in a consulting environment and implement new and exciting data projects for different clients.
• You design, build and operate modern data platforms in AWS, Azure or GCP and consistently automate infrastructure with Terraform.
• You develop and operate Lakehouse and data warehouse architectures (e.g., Iceberg, Delta Lake) and integrate and operate streaming architectures, e.g., with Kafka.
• You work with platforms like Snowflake and/or Databricks and ensure stability, security and scalability.
• You are responsible for CI/CD, monitoring, testing and observability for data platforms and optimize the performance and costs of data-intensive systems.

What you bring

• You have several years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a comparable role – ideally in a consulting or project environment.
• You have very good SQL skills and sound experience in data modeling (e.g., dimensional modeling, Data Vault, normalization & denormalization).
• You are familiar with streaming architectures, e.g. with Kafka, and are proficient in working with modern data platforms such as Databricks and/or Snowflake, as well as with dbt and Airflow or comparable orchestration tools.
• You have a very good understanding of data architectures, especially lakehouse and data warehouse approaches, and you can design, develop and operate them.
• You have experience in building and operating cloud-based data platforms in AWS, Azure or GCP and ideally automate infrastructure with Terraform.
• You have practical experience in CI/CD, monitoring, testing and observability in the context of data platforms.
• Your experience with Spark / PySpark, Python or Trino / Presto is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• You enjoy developing the team and are happy to contribute through knowledge transfer, mentoring, or professional exchange.
• You think analytically and architecturally, work in a self-organized manner and take responsibility in complex customer projects.
