Description
SAIC is currently looking for a Systems Engineer to support our Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) team located in Lakehurst, NJ. The System Engineer would be responsible for creating solutions for the integration of system level components and addressing complex problem-solving issues to integrate legacy systems with newer technologies. An active Interim Secret clearance is required. GENERAL OVERVIEW: Coordinate, integrate and assist in the management of technical efforts being performed to ensure that identified needs are transformed into effective and life-cycle optimized systems. Ensure compatibility of all functional and physical interfaces (internal and external). Confirm that the system’s definition and design reflect the requirements for all systems elements (hardware, software, data, facilities, etc.). Ensure that engineering efforts follow the Systems Engineering process. Work in a multifaceted team with many stakeholders (engineering, logistics, manufacturing, contractor, program leadership) in problem solving efforts for designated aspects of complex problems with many competing objectives, variables, and constraints. Document solutions in relation to the technical, cost, and schedule constraints. Development and review of various technical documentation, including change management documentation, presentation materials, and white papers. Participate in, and assist in activities for various segments of program execution, which may include Risk Management, Configuration Management, Data Management, Trade-off Analysis/Trade Studies, Technical Performance Measures, Technical Reviews, and Modeling & Simulation. Communicate with stakeholders across program offices, fleet and industry stakeholders. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's and 5+ years of related experience, years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Interim Secret Clearance required with the ability to obtain a secret clearance PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience in the acquisition and integration of ALRE equipment onto ACS/AAS platforms. Experience interfacing with NAVSEA, USCG, USMC, and MSC desired.
