ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Manager to manage the Site Technical Office. The successful candidate will play a key role within the site-based team, collaborating closely with the Client, suppliers and other stakeholders to manage and deliver the approved engineering design.
They will coordinate and resolve on-site issues within a multi-discipline project team using their technical capabilities and engineering judgement, applying their skills, or generating innovative solutions as appropriate whilst simultaneously interacting and collaborating with engineers from other disciplines and offices to deliver the project safely to the required level of quality in compliance with the certified design on time and to budget.
This position requires regular attendance at the Client site located in Burghfiled, Berkshire. (Minimum 4 days on site.)

• Providing the site based focal point for all engineering related issues that arise during manufacture, construction and commissioning whilst liaising with the Responsible Designers where design intent may be affected.
• Attendance of constructability reviews
• Management of site technical office team including discipline engineers, designers, revit technicians and CAD technicians
• Managing the review and response process for site generated and supplier technical queries, concession requests, commissioning reservations, etc.
• Managing instructed change either on site within agreed delegation of authority or via the Responsible Designer
• Lead minor design packages on site
• Managing drawing configuration for deliverables through the red-line process or through the Responsible Designer
• Interfacing with appropriate Design Lead Engineers, Package Managers, Section Engineers, Quality, Commissioning and Handover teams
• Maintaining the configured design
• Advising Construction on installation methods and constructability
