Locations: In this role you can work from Remote, United States
Overview:
GitHub is changing the way the world builds software and we want you to help build and secure GitHub. We’re looking for an experienced software engineer to help build and maintain our internal tooling, data and infrastructure as they protect the home of all developers.
You will be responsible for maintaining, developing, testing and deploying internal tooling to ensure compliance with regulations and accreditations such as GDPR, DSA and FEDRAMP. At GitHub, Compliance Engineering’s mission is to enable GitHub to meet compliance obligations through technology. This team ensures that for every compliance requirement (whether a legal mandate or internal policy) there is a corresponding set of technical capabilities in place to enable compliance that is maintained, measured, and updated to comply with the latest regulations.
If you have a foundation in compliance, privacy or data governance, skills in software engineering, and an empathetic approach to mentoring and collaborating with a diverse team from entry-level associates to seasoned senior contributors then this might be the gig for you.
