Job Description:
We are looking to recruit an Engineering Technical Specialist who will hold responsibility for managing Engineering projects through to completion. The Technical Specialist will work with contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to complete all Engineering projects in due time and in line with legislative requirements, whilst also providing advice regarding the maintenance of the Company’s equipment and machinery to support the business operational functions.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• A Degree in Engineering or relevant field from an accredited University or College.
• A minimum of 5 years Engineering experience.
• Statistical Process Control experience.
• Experience in engineering problem solving and fault identification.
• Application of fault-finding techniques such as 8D and the use of FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis).
• Proficient in the use of IT software for example Microsoft.
• A Six sigma black belt qualification would be highly desirable.
• Strong operational knowledge of PC applications (typically Microsoft Office Suite/ Microsoft Project).
• Motivation and Drive - a proactive and self- motivated approach whilst maintaining high personal productivity and integrity.
• Actively promotes safe working practices, adhering to Company Rules / Health and Safety / Environmental Standards and Practices.
• Project Management - able to work on own initiative and manage own objectives, to work within a team, and ensure that projects are delivered on time.

• Team player, both interdepartmentally and with respect to immediate colleagues.
• Demonstrate and align with the values of the Company demonstrating honesty, integrity, customer service focus, quality focus, excellence and innovation.
• Able to wear personal protective equipment including hearing protection, gloves, hard hat, safety shoes and safety glasses.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test as well as a company medical.

• Project Planning: Defining project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Co-ordination: Acting as a bridge between the project manager and the technical aspects of the project, coordinating the efforts of different teams, such as engineering, procurement and construction.
• Technical Oversight: Ensuring the engineering designs and technical specifications meet the required standards and are implemented correctly.
• Resource Management: Allocating appropriate resources and ensuring their availability throughout the project.
• Risk Management: Identifying project risks related to technical executions and proposing mitigation strategies.
• Quality Control: Ensuring the project delivers to the agreed standards and specification, often through testing and quality assurance practices.
• Documentation: Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining project technical documentation and reports.
