These models are built using a combination of observed data, reanalysis data, numerical simulations, statistical models, and data assimilation techniques. Within the Model Development department, the Flood team focuses on the development of highresolution, largescale hydrologic and hydraulic models to assess flood risk. The modelling work spans the full workflow, from hazard modelling through to loss modelling.
