Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a DevOps Engineering Manager based in United States. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-impact DevOps function while remaining deeply involved in technical decision-making and platform architecture. You will manage a small team of engineers and collaborate closely with software engineering, QA, security, and leadership to enhance reliability, scalability, and operational excellence. The role combines people leadership with hands-on infrastructure management, making it ideal for an experienced DevOps professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges. You'll help shape cloud infrastructure, optimize deployment processes, strengthen security practices, and improve developer experience. Working within a modern AWS serverless environment, you will drive automation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. Your work will directly support the delivery of reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions. \n Accountabilities: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of DevOps engineers while fostering collaboration and technical growth. Define and execute the DevOps roadmap, aligning infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational initiatives with business objectives. Own the health and maturity of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability, automation, and release management processes. Partner with engineering teams to improve deployment reliability, developer experience, and infrastructure scalability. Strengthen infrastructure-as-code practices, automation standards, operational documentation, and disaster recovery readiness. Oversee production operations, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, root cause analysis, and service reliability. Guide secure cloud architecture and deployment practices while collaborating with security stakeholders. Optimize AWS environments for performance, scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency. Track operational metrics such as deployment frequency, availability, recovery times, change success rates, and cloud spending. Evaluate infrastructure tools, support future team growth, and leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering workflows. Requirements: 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering. At least 2 years of leadership experience managing engineers or serving as technical lead for DevOps or platform teams. Strong hands-on expertise with AWS production environments and cloud infrastructure management. Proven experience designing and improving CI/CD pipelines and implementing infrastructure as code. Strong background in production operations, monitoring, observability, incident response, and reliability engineering. Solid understanding of cloud security principles, identity and access management, secrets management, and secure deployment practices. Experience with Linux systems, networking fundamentals, shell scripting, and programming languages such as Python or Bash. Ability to review and validate AI-generated code and infrastructure configurations using sound engineering judgment. Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred qualifications include experience in healthcare or other regulated industries, serverless AWS services, AWS CDK or Terraform, compliance-focused engineering practices, PostgreSQL, application performance monitoring, AWS cost optimization, AI-assisted development workflows, and supporting distributed engineering teams. Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. Benefits: Competitive salary ranging from $125,000 to $175,000, based on experience and location. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance. Employer-matched 401(k) retirement plan. Generous paid time off. Fully remote work within the United States. Opportunity to work with modern AWS serverless technologies and automation-first infrastructure. Collaborative engineering culture with opportunities to influence architecture and platform strategy. Regular team gatherings and opportunities for in-person collaboration. Career growth through leadership responsibilities and ongoing technical innovation. \n How Jobgether works: We use an AI-powered matching process to ensure your application is reviewed quickly, objectively, and fairly against the role's core requirements.
