DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Commercial Finance Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with both the Commercial Finance Manager and Head of Commercial Finance, contributing to core reporting processes and supporting wider business functions.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

• Intermediate user of Excel and Powerpoint. Must be competent in dealing with large data sets and familiar with formulas such as SUMIF, COUNTIF, VLOOKUP and INDEX/MATCH (Index Match desirable)
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot anomalies in data
• Excellent communication skills – the individual will have exposure to the CEO and wider exec team so must be comfortable in being able to communicate at all levels of the business
• Part qualified advantageous but not essential for this role as full training will give be given
• A ‘can-do’ and positive attitude is key for this role
• Be proactive with the ability to consider the bigger picture
• Have excellent relationship building skills

• Production of the daily MIs and working alongside the commercial finance team to help resolve any queries that are raised (ca.40%)
• Production of client MIs and direct business MIs, working alongside the commercial finance team to help resolve any queries that are raised (ca.5%)
• Production of any compliance stats requested from either internal or external stakeholders (ca.5%)
• Become a super user in a new piece of software being rolled out in the commercial finance team and assist with the implantation of said software (4%)
• Assist the commercial finance manager and head of commercial finance with upkeep of rolling forecast (5%)
• Production of the weekly trading meeting pack and weekly review with the commercial finance manager and head of commercial finance (ca.10%)
• Rolling over of daily MI spreadsheets (ca.5%)
• Ad hoc queries from various stakeholders within the business (ca.25%)
