The Supply Planner is responsible for managing all activities associated with procuring the right inventory to meet our demand. The Supply Planner creates and maintains supply plans and monitors the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the execution to those plans with our suppliers and logistics partners. They use the demand forecast and other business intelligence gathered from Merchandising, Suppliers, Demand Planning, Fulfillment Analysts, and logistics to adjust the supply plan. The Supply Planner is the integration point between Merchandising, Demand Planning, Suppliers, and Logistics for supply related activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop the supply plan at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons.
• Collaborate with suppliers over a purchase forecast that aligns with production planning and drive improvements to purchase forecast accuracy.
• Collaborate with Demand Planners and Fulfillment Analysts to ensure an accurate demand forecast feeds our supply planning and fulfillment execution.
• Develop inventory strategies on exits and new product launches, based on collaboration with Merchandising, Demand Planning, and Suppliers.
• Partner with Logistics in the development and execution of new supply chain network flow paths and models.
• Coordinate inventory policies and actions on constrained supply with Merchandising, Demand Planning, and Fulfillment Analysts to optimize the outcome for Discount Tire.
• Use and maintain the Supply Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two to three years of prior experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, or as a Fulfillment Analyst.
• Skills expected: critical thinking, verbal and written communication, planning and organization, collaboration, results focus, problem solver, comfort working with systems and large data sets, influencing.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

BA or BS college degree preferred
