Description Now Hiring: Benefits Manager – Build Better Benefits with Us! APPLICATION DEADLINE: October 23rd, 2025 at 7:00am CDT. Location: Hays, Kansas Pay: starting at $75,000 annual salary | $325 sign-on bonus Job Type: Full-time; In-person Schedule: Salaried; traditionally M-F 8am-5pm Why You Should Apply: Are you looking for a job with amazing benefits? Well — we already have great benefits… but we’re looking for someone to take them to the next level. This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up. As the first-ever Benefits Manager at High Plains Mental Health Center, you won’t be stepping into someone else’s shoes — you’ll be designing the path forward. We’re looking for a people-first professional who knows that great benefits aren’t just checkboxes — they’re one of the most powerful ways an organization shows up for its people. You’ll have the freedom (and support) to shape a smart, sustainable, and employee-centered program that truly makes a difference. If you’re ready to make your mark in a mission-driven organization — we can’t wait to meet you. APPLY TODAY! What You’ll Do: As our Benefits Manager, you’ll be the architect and advocate for employee benefits. You will lead the charge on designing, improving, and delivering benefit programs that actually work for the people who use them. Here’s what your day-to-day might look like: Design smart, people-centered benefits plans in partnership with leadership and brokers — including a shift to a partially self-funded health plan. Be the go-to resource for employees navigating their benefits! Develop communication strategies that help employees actually understand and use their benefits (E.g., guides, FAQs, presentations, open enrollment sessions). Manage vendor and broker relationships— ensuring performance, accountability, and cost-effectiveness. Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations (HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, etc). Analyze data and trends to provide meaningful insights that help leadership make smart, data-backed decisions. Keep systems and records accurate and up to date — and help improve how we manage benefits across platforms (like Paylocity or other systems). Why Join Us? At High Plains Mental Health Center, we're here for you — not only for the individuals and communities we serve, but for every member of our team. Our mission drives everything we do, and that includes supporting our employees with the same compassion, dedication, and care we offer our clients. You’ll provide critical mental health services to those who need them most, while being part of a team that values your expertise, supports your well-being, and invests in your professional growth through continuous learning and career advancement opportunities.
